Dalcassian Wines & Spirits 2019 Dublin Portfolio Tasting

Dalcassian Wines & Spirits will showcase their full portfolio of wines, spirits and mixers from The Shed Distillery and Dalcassian portfolio.This will be the biggest event ever hosted by Dalcassian Wines & Spirits and will feature wines and spirit master classes, as well as cocktail making demonstrations.

The star attraction on the day will be the first ever chance to taste the “The Shed Distillery Whiskey” currently in its 4th year of aging. This is not to be missed!!

The Masterclass  programme includes:

12.45pm to 1.45pm – Amarone Vertical Tasting with Nicola Gobbi, Tenute Falezze

A vertical tasting across the 2013, 2014 and 2015 Amarone Classico. Followed by a vertical tasting across the 2012, 2013 and 2014 Amarone Reserve

1.30 to 2.30pm - Panel discussion hosted by Food & Wine Editor Dee Laffan

“Future trends of an exciting Wine List”

 The panel includes,  Philip Dunne, formerly Head Sommelier of Ashford Castle and now Head Sommelier and WSET Educator of The Westbury in Dublin. Gareth Mullins, Gareth is responsible for all menu design and food preparation in The Marker Hotel’s four kitchens which covers the Brasserie, the Rooftop Bar and Terrace, the Marker Bar and in-room dining.  Luca di Marzio, Owner and Front of House at the Italian institution that is Rosa Madre, recently awarded "The Best Authentic Italian Restaurant in Dublin 2018’  at this year's Love Italian Life Awards.

 3.15pm to 4.15pm – Bordeaux Master-class, hosed by Alexandre Truffaut, Géricot Wines.

Regions tasted will be Listrac Medoc, Pessac Leognan, Margaux and Sauternes,

 4.45pm to 5.30pm – Premium Spirits Master Class, featuring The Shed Distillery and Mixer.

Mixer, will cover the key proposition and unique selling points of the mixer range Eoin O’Neill will give a background to the Shed Distillery brands, the story and the key brand attributes

A fun interactive session of cocktail making with our top brands discussing the trends in flavours and popular menu choices Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin, Sausage Tree Vodka, Diplomatico Rum, Cocchi Vermouth, TBT, Mixer, Fuba, Rusty Dogg
