Running from 6^th – 15^th September, 2019 A Taste of West Cork Food Festival is an annual, ten day September event that celebrates West Cork's unique food culture. The festival centres around 41 local towns, villages and 8 islands; stretching from Inchydoney, to the Beara peninsula. This year Australian wine will feature prominently as part of the festival.  To support this and to highlight the range of wines that will be available.

Wine Australia will be holding a trade tasting on Friday 12^th July in Skibbereen in West Cork to highlight the comprehensive range of Australian wines currently available in Ireland. The tasting will focus on the Irish links of many of the wineries, and their strong commitment to sustainable production.

The purpose is to encourage participating restaurants and venues at  the Festival in September to give prominence to Australian wines to accompany their food offering.

The Australian Ambassador to Ireland, His Excellency Richard Andrews will open the  July 12^th tasting and will be available to meet participants from 11 am to 12.30 pm.
