A ‘Meet The Maker’
wine tasting evening will take place at Mount Juliet Estate on Wednesday 12th
June in the Michelin star and 3 AA Rosette Lady Helen restaurant. Those attending will explore the wines of the
Weingut Malat Estate from the Wachau in Austria. Michael Malat
who will present his wines and they will be
paired with an exceptional menu created by Lady Helen Head Chef,John Kelly.
The Weingut Malat estate has been producing wine since 1722 and Michael is the 10th generation in his family to run the business. Situated below the glorious Stift Göttweig abbey, Weingut Malat is an hour´s drive from Vienna, in the heart of the Lower Austria (Niederösterreich) wine country. It is also an internationally successful winery, a multi award-winning pioneer in Austria's Kremstal region as well as a founding member of the highly respected Association of Austrian Traditional Wine Estates.
Guests will be welcomed with a glass of Malat Brut Nature
Reserve 2014 Winnersekt sparkling wine, the six course tasting menu will be
accompanied by a specially chosen selection of Malat wines.
The ‘Meet the Maker’ wine event at Mount Juliet Estate will cost €145 per person and is available to both hotel guests and non-residents.
