Sustainable Wine Dinner at The Marker Hotel
Pictured: Mick O’Connell M.W.
What are the key factors that affect sustainable wine production? Well they incorporate what happens in the vineyard, the practices used in production in the winery, the use of resources including energy and water, making transport as carbon neutral as possible, looking at the types of packaging used, care and consideration for workers and their working conditions; as well as giving back to the community through social initiatives. These days wine farmers all over Europe have been embracing these principals alongside the use of organic and biodynamic farming practices.
Join Master of Wine Mick O’Connell at the Marker Hotel on Thursday 7th April, to learn more about the Sustainable Wine Producers in Europe who are driving these initiatives. Mick will hold a tasting featuring wines from Italy, Spain, Greece, France & Portugal and will focus on their achievements to date.
The evening will commence in the rooftop bar at the Marker where those attending will enjoy canapés and drinks. This will be followed by a five-course dinner in the Brasserie Restaurant with a tasting menu carefully created by the Chefs at the Marker to pair with the selection of top wines from sustainable producers, chosen by Mick.
For anyone interested in the future of the wine
industry, this tasting dinner is not to be missed!
Tickets are now on sale price €80 per person. Bookings can be made directly with the hotel.
