Tindal Wine Merchants will be holding their annual Barolo Antemprima Masterclass and Tasting on Thursday 19^th January, 2023.  Don’t miss the opportunity to taste the heralded 2019 Barolos.

This year's masterclass will be a panel tasting and discussion led by Harriet Tindal MW with Alfio Cavallotto, Cavallotto and Alessandro Locatelli, Rocche Costamagna looking at the influence of climate and activities in the winery that have positively influenced the tannic integration found in today’s Barolo.

Barolo 2019 is an exciting vintage comparative to the acclaimed 2016 Vintage. This vintage offers a more filigree, softer effect in the tannic structure, both are illustrative of the achieved ambition of the modern Barolo producer. Bringing the drinker clarity, elegance and a defining perfumed fragrance in the glass.  Deemed as 'classic', 2019 is a vintage that enjoyed more conventional weather patterns. A wet Spring provided generous reserves of water for the vines during a particularly warm June and July. Mellow, warm days carried 2019 through to October yielding grapes that displayed perfect phenolic and flavour ripeness.
