Italian wines are very much in demand on the Irish market and the region of Piedmonte is leading the charge. The promotional consortium I Vini del Piemonte will return to Dublin for the second edition of Barolo & Friends: a tasting initiative aimed at promoting Piedmont producers.

Barolo & Friends Masterclass will be presented by Sommelier Sandro Minella, who is the Scientific Director and teacher at Barolo & Barbaresco Academy.  Since 2010 Sandro has collaborated with several trade organizations such as Consorzio I Vini del Piemonte, Strada del Barolo, Consorzio Tutela Nebbioli Alto Piemonte, Consorzio Alta Langa, and Consorzio di Tutela Barolo Barbaresco, for which he frequently conducts webinars, press tours, trade masterclasses, and guided tastings for their official events all over the world.

The consumer tasting will feature a blind tasting format and will highlight the wines of Barolo DOCG, Barbaresco DOCG, Barbara d’Alba Superiore DOC and Barbera d’Asti Superiore DOCG.  Five top quality wines will feature at the tasting.

The Consumer Masterclass will take place in the Hyatt Centric on Monday 2^nd September, 2024 from 18:00 to 19:00 and will be followed by a walk around tasting of all the producers wines until 20:00.
