Sea Shanty the cosy seafood and wine bar run by Chef, Sebastian Sainz and Sommelier, Elena Segura is known for its Spanish-inspired seafood tapas, fresh oysters (including Killough Bay stock), anchovies, octopus, and mussels.  They are located in Blackrock Village (over Conway’s Pub).

Sea Shanty will be holding a charity evening featuring wine and food, to support women farmers in Africa on Thursday 15 October, 2026. All proceeds from the event will go to Self Help Africa, an Irish international charity that promotes and implements long-term rural development projects in Africa.

The evening will feature a six course specially created seafood menu created by their guest Chef’s that will be matched by six wines.  At the dinner/tasting the Guest Sommeliers will tell the stories behind the women who make the wines.
